This 2009 calendar consists of reproductions of original oil paintings by farmer / artist Joan Harris of Harrier Fields Farm, located in the Hudson River Valley of New York State.
This is the fourth Devon calendar Joan Harris
has produced. The artist says she feels privileged to have
such inspiring models. The paintings reproduced
on this calendar are painted with love for
the Devon's purity, form, color, disposition,
efficiency, and history. The artist attempts to
make a faithful representation of each animal.
Shown is a reproduction of the painting of #44
(May 2009) and below it the photograph used as
a reference for that painting.
